Estonian Anett Kontaveit and Romanian Simona Halep will fight it out for the Transylvania Open title after dominating the tournament.
After Simona Halep beat Rebecca Peterson 6-3, 6-2 in the first game of the Semis, Halep made short work of Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk. Halep brushed aside the teenager 6-0, 6-1, showing both her experience and hunger for the title. Halep had a stunning 92% first serve win and won 33 receiving points compared to just 8 by Marta. Kostyuk did keep it close with service points with Halep having a 27-23 edge but overall, stood no chance against the superstar player.
