Emma Raducanu jumps to 23 in WTA Rankings

Emma’s magical US Open title run led her to number 23 in the WTA rankings, which is a huge jump of 127 spots compared to before the US Open. Raducanu claimed the US Open title after overcoming Leylah Fernandez in two sets. The British tennis sensation won all her games in two sets and became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam title in forty-four years.

Emma is the first qualifier to ever win a Grand Slam title. Raducanu also became the youngest player since Maria Sharapova to win a Grand Slat title, who did so during the 2004 Wimbledon. Emma began the year at 345th spot but jumped to 179 after reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon.
