Emma Raducanu gets wild card entry to BNP Paribas Open

US Open winner Emma Raducanu has earned her way into BNP Paribas Open through a wild card. The tournament set originally for March had been shifted to fourth October due to pandemic restrictions. Meanwhile, number one WTA tennis player Ashleigh Barty has withdrawn from the tournament, with Naomi Osaka also not playing.

Raducanu stunned the world after becoming the first qualifier to clinch the US Open title. She beat all her opponents in two sets and no player could come close to winning against her. The British sensation claimed the title after beating Candian Leylah Fernandez in a riveting finals win.
