Edmonton ex-striker Maksimov to become a CSKA player

As it became known to Metaratings.ru, Edmonton ex-striker Kirill Maksimov will move to CSKA and sign a contract until the end of the 2021/22 season.

On October 18, Edmonton placed him on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract, which happened today.

Maximov is a former student of the CSKA hockey school. Before, he signed a three-year amateur contract with Edmonton, which selected the striker in the fifth draft round under the number 146.

The striker spent last season in the KHL on loan, playing for his home club.

In the 2020/21 season, 22-year-old Maksimov took part in 16 matches of the KHL regular season and scored 3 (2+1) points with a plus−minus statistic of "0".

Previously, he played in various North American leagues from the age of 14. The Oilers selected him in the 2017 draft (5th round, 146th number).
