Australia has inserted Usman Khwaja into their Ashes squad. He may end up competing with Travis Head for a spot to play in the first test against England that will begin around the second week of December. In the Australian domestic cricket scene, the talented batter has slammed two centuries and has played a knock of 70 in the last three of the five innings.
For his career, he has scored 2877 runs in 77 innings(44 matches) at a handsome average of 40.66. He has the highest score of 174, slamming eight centuries and 14 half-centuries. When asked about whether Khwaja will feature in the playing 11, chief selector George Bailey refused to reveal the detail.
