Format and Participants of EPL 2025/26
This season introduces a few changes: Puma replaces Nike as the official ball supplier, and the semi-automatic offside system will be used for the first full season. Only two clubs have new managers—Tottenham and Brentford—while promoted teams Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland return to the top flight, setting up an exciting relegation battle.
The EPL consists of 20 teams playing 38 rounds (home and away). Top 4 qualify for the Champions League, 5th for the Europa League, 6th for the Conference League (subject to FA Cup/League Cup results), and the bottom three are relegated.

Betting Features of the EPL 2025/26
- High-scoring games: Many EPL matches see both teams score, especially when top clubs face mid-table opponents.
- Home advantage: English teams are historically stronger at home. Home wins often offer safer betting options.
- Derbies & rivalry matches: Expect more goals, yellow/red cards, and unpredictable outcomes.
- Fixture congestion: Teams in Europe or domestic cups may drop points, creating value bets on rotated lineups.
- Relegation battles: Newly promoted clubs and bottom-table teams provide high-odds opportunities for riskier bets.
Premier League title favorites 2025/26
Liverpool aims to defend last season’s title under coach Arne Slot. The team strengthens with Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, and Jeremie Frimpong, despite losing Diogo Jota. Liverpool remains a top contender, especially in high-scoring matches.
Manchester City finished third last season after four consecutive titles. With Pep Guardiola still in charge and Kevin De Bruyne replaced by Reijnders, City remain contenders, but predictions are less certain due to recent inconsistencies.
Arsenal continue their hunt for a first title since 2004. Coach Mikel Arteta strengthened the squad with striker Viktor Gyokeres, making the Gunners serious challengers this season.
How to Get More Value
- Focus on total goals rather than 1X2 outcomes.
- In many matches, because of the style of play, both teams score a goal.
- Consider yellow and red cards betting in derby matches.
- Watch out for fixture congestion: teams playing in Europe often drop points domestically, especially because in England, they play two cups.
- Backing home teams in winter, especially around the Boxing period, tends to provide long-term profit.
How to Bet on EPL 2025/26
- Focus on total goals (over/under 2.5) and BTTS markets, particularly in matches involving top clubs.
- Monitor yellow/red cards in derbies and intense rivalry matches.
- Back home teams in winter fixtures, especially during Boxing Day and congested schedules.
- Pay attention to promoted clubs or bottom-table teams for high-odds opportunities in relegation battles.
In my experience, during the years I made analyses and tips on the Premier League, I’ve watched how English football shifted from very physical, rough football to very fast, full of stars and individual techniques. Betting on this league requires a lot of patience, knowledge about football, but especially knowledge about English football culture, rivalries, and local derbies. The Premier League is a league where underdogs often beat favorites, where we can expect many goals from both teams in most of the matches, and a lot of cards in derbies between fierce rivals. With good analytics and patience, the Premier League can bring you a lot of profit.
With disciplined bankroll management and a focus on trends, the English Premier League offers plenty of opportunities for profitable betting during the 2025/26 campaign.
