Tried registering yesterday on pointsbet. They took my deposit before telling me I had to be in NJ to place a wager. Borderline scammy.. fortunately I go to NJ a lot but very upset the way they handle their business to first time depositors.

My biggest gripe is the turnover requirements that come of the bonus bet, deposit bonus etc promotions in order to make a withdrawal. There are a few coys that I would say are a lot fairer than others. Coys on my blacklist are Pointsbet and Palmerbet. Responsible gambling? Nah

Compared to Draft Kong’s, PointsBet is improving. Once it becomes less buggy, 5 stars!

Great idea but the site is too greedy. Too much of a difference in spreads etc.. Promos are great to start but after you win a couple of them they do not let you participate in the promos any longer. All in all it is a fun idea with some good promos but treats the customers poorly

Generally the app is very solid, occasionally there will be some delays or quirks, but site is great. Only thing I would improve is finding a way to not close the chat if your phone goes dark. Because if I don’t pay attention for a second, the chat with help gets cancelled out after my phone goes to sleep.

I’ve used the app to wager on NBA, NCAA basketball, soccer, and tennis, and I’ve really enjoyed the experience. I especially like the ‘Make it Rain’ promo for basketball which awards bonus bets for 3 pointers made by the team you’ve selected. Promos like that make the risk less and the potential reward more for the user. For NBA, I particularly like the option to set my own spread at whichever number and for whichever team I would like. I’ve also very much enjoyed parlay betting via the app, and there’s currently a great . Perhaps the best feature for NBA bettors is that PointsBet offers , which is an advantage over other sports books offering the usual -110. Overall, a very good with excellent options, promos, and odds.

Review

PointsBet was completely unknown to the bettors in Europe and North America just a few years ago. The company was established in Australia in 2017. Since then PointsBet started expanding. In the US, the company became one of the latest additions to the booming New Jersey market thanks to a deal with Meadowlands Racetrack. After the launch in January, the sportsbook quickly came into the spotlight. On the one hand, it made waves by signing endorsement deals with NBA hall-of-famer Allen Iverson and former NFL cornerback Darrelle Revis. On the other hand, its success was made possible by the company’s innovative and unique promotions like PointsBetting.

PointsBet takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification and disclosure including by using password protected systems and databases and Secure Socket Layer “SSL” technology.

PointsBet is currently only available in New Jersey and Iowa.

  • PointsBet offers a vast selection of sports: NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, college sports, soccer, tennis, motor sports, boxing, MMA, rugby, and more niche sports like cricket, golf, darts, cycling, Aussie rules. What really highlights PointsBet is an insane range of betting options. There are dozens of options even for average events. This number goes up to 200-250 markets when it comes to NBA games. Impressive numbers especially contrasting with other online betting companies in the state of New Jersey. PointsBet’s betting roster includes usual options such as futures, moneylines, parlays, in-plays, point spreads, totals, props, and derivatives. Users can bet on quarter, period or half total scores, corner totals, away team goals, whether there will be a shootout, etc. The variety of individual player props is outstanding too. It includes shooting and completion percentages, time of the first goal, touchdown or basket, points combined with assists and rebounds. An exact number of markets may differ from event to event but there is a little sweetener: customers can tweet their propositions @PointsBetUSA if they are not listed yet and the bookie will add them to the roster. Betting odds at PointsBet are competitive, though they are not always the sweetest. For example, most of the future odds are slightly higher on other sites and parlays are medium. But with the help of the numerous boosts and promotions, the pricing can skyrocket.

    Thanks to the huge amount of markets live-betting at PointsBet gets very entertaining. The software works smoothly so you won’t experience any delays or other technical problems. PointsBet’s live-betting is available on almost all of the games they offer.

    Lots of promos and a decent Loyalty Program is what makes PointsBet an excellent choice for experienced bettors. PointsBet is so far the only bookie in NJ that offers bettors a branded MasterCard, which makes life so much easier thanks to swift deposits and withdrawals. This feature makes the company stand out from the competition.

    Darell Revis Academy is a nice addition to the standard offering. It’s a detailed tutorial for new bettors where they can comprehend the basics of the game.

    Betting on high school sports events or games of New Jersey-based college teams is not allowed.

    Pros:
    • Huge amount of betting options;
    • High-risk high-reward action with PointsBetting;
    • Large number of attractive promotions;
    • Good pricing and solid odds;
    • MasterCard withdrawals

    Cons:

    • Limited number of banking options;
    • Cash out is not available on every market.
