Pointsbet is a registered, legal sportsbook in New Jersey. The Division of Gaming Enforcement is responsible for licensing and regulation of sportsbooks in that state, and they have licensed Pointsbet since 2019.

It is the only sportsbook that offers Pointsbetting, a unique, high risk, high reward form of sports betting where wins and losses vary based upon how right or how wrong the wager was. For example, if you like Lebron James to score more than 30 points in a basketball game, and he scores 38, you win 8x the amount staked. However, if he only scores 20, you would lose 10x the amount staked. Pointsbetting offers the chance for some huge wins, but if you are wrong it can be very costly. Pointsbet also has a “name a bet” feature where you can request a market using a form and the trading team will price it up for you. This isn’t something you will likely use often, but it shows a desire to meet the needs of the customer that deserves credit.

Pointsbet offers live betting on all sports both, both professional and college, in the United States and worldwide. There is a dedicated screen for these sports which can be accessed by selecting “Live” from the Sports Betting menu. The live betting menu provides real time information on events including scores and time left, to help inform your betting decisions. Comparing this to a live broadcast, it updates very quickly so you can bet with confidence.
