This edition of the US Open has been full of upsets and thrillers as the tournament now turns to the Quarterfinals leg. Ukraine’s Eina Svitlona will begin the proceedings drawing the match-up against Romania’s Simona Halep. Czechia’s Barbora Krejcikova has to battle it out with Belarusian second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka.
Greece’s Maria Sakkari and Canada’s Bianca Andreescu engaged in a three and a half hours tussle as Sakkari made her first US open quarterfinals after winning 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 in a wonderful battle. Maria is going to play against Karolina Pliskova. Whereas Emma Raducanu is aiming for the stars after beating Shelby Rogers and has drawn a game versus Belinda Bencic.
