Brooklyn Nets and the Kyrie Irving situation have reached a new climax now. The team management has now decided that Kyrie and his teammates will not be allowed to practice or play together until Irving gets a vaccination jab. The New York laws prohibit a person from working until and unless the person has been vaccinated. Irving has expressed that he doesn’t want to get vaccinated because of the mandate that puts pressure on an individual’s choice.
We respect his individual right to choose. Currently, the choice restricts his ability to be a full-time member of the team, and we will not permit any member of our team to participate with part-time availability. Given the evolving nature of the situation and after thorough deliberation, we have decided Kyrie Irving will not play or practice with the team until he is eligible to be a full participant.
