Number-one WTA player Ash Barty has decided to not play in the Billie Jean King finals for Australia. This decision gives flame to the speculations that the Australian stalwart may not return this season at all. Barty’s coach Craig Tyzzer indicated that Ashleigh may not return to defend the WTA title. Ash Barty’s US Open campaign got short by Shelby Rogers during the Third Round.
Ash has qualified for the WTA Finals and will make her decision on whether to play Mexico closer to the event.
